*V-Edge - Is the latest in edge tie technology. With the help of the ski grinder's ceramic edge grinding discs, you can now vary the angle of the steel edge along the entire ski. Few e.g. 88 degrees on the front end of the ski, 86 degrees under the foot and 88 degrees on the back end to get a smoother entry into the turn, fantastic grip in the turn phase and smoother transition into the next turn. Regardless of riding level, you will be helped by the V-Edge technology. Choose freely between comfort, sport or race, depending on riding level, skiing and snow conditions

How often and why should I sharpen my equipment?
Well-maintained skis help you become a better skier. Because the slopes slope, you will always come down, no matter how worn your skis are, but you may have noticed others slipping away from you or you slipping on a patch of ice.
To fully enjoy a day on the slopes, you want to be able to trust your skis and their steel edges. With sharp steel edges, you get an easier grip through the turn and you become a steadier skier even on patches of ice.
The pads are ground to get a clear structure, which in turn provides better sliding and removes any damage to the ski's pads.

To optimize the glide, there are different structures (patterns) in the coating. For example, you can get a fine structure, perfect for cold, dry snow, or you can choose a coarser structure that suits better when the snow is wet. Of course, you can get an all-round structure that suits most types of snow.

How often? Normally, it is enough to sand edges and surfaces once a year, if you ride more frequently, it is good to sand more often. If you take care of your skis, they will also have a longer lifespan and you will have more fun with your skis on the mountain.

Cross country skis

SEK 395

Don't forget to give your cross-country skis a little extra love. A polished surface gives you both better sliding and a surface that absorbs the heat better. When sharpening cross-country skis, the following is done:

  • Stone sharpener
  • Floor planing
  • Coating structure
  • Machine wax (slide)
